Walsh Appraisals, Inc. Appraisal Reviews

As said in an announcement by the Federal Reserve, "financial institutions are required to have effective, objective real estate appraisal and evaluation plans," and that appraisers fulfilling reviews should "have the knowledge and skillfulness to determine compliance with the Federal Reserves appraisal regulations and guidelines." Here at Walsh Appraisals, Inc., we provide appraisal review services that are objective, qualified, professional and square with the Federal Reserve's regulations.

If you have questions regarding an appraisal, or if you're in the need of a real estate appraisal review, call Walsh Appraisals, Inc. today.

As stated by the Federal Reserve, appraisal reviews "have to find out whether the appraisal or evaluation is applicable for the transaction, the liability of the transaction, and whether the procedure by which the collateral valuation is obtained guarantees independence and quality." In addition, they "should indicate whether the appraisal or evaluation report matches the engagement letter, which describes the outlook of the appraisal assignment." Lastly, the Federal Reserve states that "some financial institutions augment regular reviews with post-funding surveys of appraisal quality for some of their higher-risk or larger-value affairs as a channel to aid in revealing valuation issues."

In addition to tailoring our work to the practices and guidelines of our review customers, there are four Fannie Mae forms that are typically used for review services, and we can produce an appraisal review on any of them. They include an appraisal "desk" review, a "field" review, a "short" form and a "narrative" form. Here at Walsh Appraisals, Inc., we are qualified in every type of appraisal review, review procedure and the responsibilities of review appraisers.
